Printing

Most Coasters can be screen printed or full colour printed. Normal lead times are about 3 weeks for Screen printed work and 2 weeks for 4 colour process work. Minimum quantities vary for each style.

Heat Resistant Coasters

For Ultra Thin and Hard Top Coasters the recommended top surface is polycarbonate. This provides superb heat resistance but is more expensive than the standard mark resist PVC. The standard surface is popular but will distort slightly with heat eventually.

Pricing for printed Coasters will depend on various factors. The most important is the style of Coaster required, together with quantity needed and number of print colours involved in the artwork design. Other factors will depend on the size and thickness (where options are available), and if printing is required on both sides of the Coaster.

Ordering

You can easily place your order after receiving quote from us. The quickest way is to e-mail us with your purchase order and attach your *artwork file. Ensure you include full contact and delivery address details. We will contact you back with order acknowledgement and discuss/confirm any necessary details further.

NOTE: A chargable pre-production proof sample will be produced with all four colour process work for your approval. (free of charge on large quantity orders). This will allow you to see exactly what the printed Coasters will look like, before commencement with the bulk run. Very important if you need to make any last minute changes to design.

We recommend you opt for a proof sample with spot colour work as well. A paper/faxed proof will only indicate print size and relative positioning of design components, but does not represent the 'quality' of the colour output.

Artwork

* Please ensure you first view special artwork guidelines link, before submitting artwork with order. This will give relevant information for e-mailing us artwork attachments in the required format. Or see below for general guide.

It can sometimes be difficult to determine the suitability of a design for screen printing. It is always best to send us a simple composite visual (eg jpeg) of the design to begin with, so we can advise and also quote correctly. (Artwork suitable for printing purposes can follow later on, or when ordering.)

Note: Designs incorporating tints, shadows and grading effects are normally treated as 4 colour process work.

For Screen Printed Work: Supply Editable EPS file (email or disc) with all the text and images saved as curves.

For 4 Colour Process Work: Supply jpg, tiff, pdf files at 300dpi or above, with artwork image set to correct size. (Allow 2mm bleed around design) Also accept InDesign 2 & 3, Illustrator 11 and lower. Photoshop 8 and lower, Freehand 10 and lower, CorelDraw 11 and lower, and Quark 4 files (We can accept Quark 6 files but prefer version 4)
